Щороку 6 червня відзначається Всесвітній день трансплантації. Цей день проводиться під егідою ВООЗ і є нагадуванням про те, що тисячі людей у світі вижили завдяки трансплантації. А ще цей день покликаний вшанувати героїв – донорів та їхні сім’ї, які самовіддано подарували життя своїм рідним, реципієнтів, що отримали цей чудовий другий шанс та проявили свою надзвичайну стійкість і силу духу, й висловити солідарність із тими, хто все ще очікує на трансплантацію. У Всесвітній день трансплантації ми хочемо підтримати вас, підвищуючи обізнаність про надзвичайну потребу в донорах і виступаючи за майбутнє, де кожна людина в списку очікування трансплантації отримає подарунок, на який він заслуговує. Донорство органів має значення, оскільки воно перетворює горе на надію, втрату — на спадок, а відчай — на обіцянку світлого майбутнього. World Transplant Day (WTD) is a celebration that takes place on the 6th of June every year. The day promoted by the World Health Organization, serves as a reminder that there are thousands of people around the world who are alive thanks to transplantation. On this day, we celebrate the incredible journey of life made possible by the extraordinary gift of organ donation. It’s a day to honor the heroes – donors and their families who selflessly gave the gift of life, to recognise the resilience and strength of transplant recipients powered by this remarkable second chance, and to stand in solidarity with those who are still on the transplant waiting list. To those waiting for a transplant, your strength, patience, and hope inspire us. On this World Transplant Day, we stand with you, raising awareness about the critical need for donors, and advocating for a future where every individual on the transplant waitlist receives the life-changing gift they deserve. Organ donation matters because it transforms grief into hope, loss into legacy, and despair into the promise of a brighter future. It bridges the gap between life and loss, creating a legacy that resonates through generations.
